The Global Shapers Community

Global Shapers is a network of young people under 30 working together to drive dialogue, action, and lasting change. Founded by the World Economic Forum, the community spans hundreds of city-based hubs on every continent.

Each hub is self-organized and rooted in its own city, tackling the challenges that matter most locally — from climate and education to inclusion and civic participation. As the Heidelberg Hub, we turn that global movement into tangible impact across the Rhine-Neckar region.

Who We Are

Global Shapers Heidelberg

The Global Shapers Heidelberg Hub brings together young people (18 to 27 years old) from Heidelberg and the Rhine-Neckar region who want to take an active role in shaping the place they live in.

We CONNECT people from different backgrounds, studies, and professions to exchange ideas and collaborate across boundaries that usually keep fields apart. Our hub is a space for open dialogue, creativity, and shared motivation.

Within this community, members EMPOWER each other to grow personally, test ideas, and gain the confidence to turn them into action. Since our founding, more than thirty members have joined, contributing their knowledge and energy to projects that strengthen social cohesion, sustainability, and innovation in the region.

Together with stakeholders in the region we ACT to make the Rhine-Neckar area more connected, inclusive, and forward-looking.
